ok, so we all know how sucky the weather has been. -22 is just plain stupid. but, i've been noticing something about things that make me frustrated, like really ridiculously cold weather and broken ford explorers.

when they are back to normal, i am SO HAPPY.

today i took little j to junior kindergarten at 11, got out of the newly fixed and oh-so-high-off-the-ground explorer and seriously basked in the 9 degree sunshine. really. can life get any better than a temperature above zero, sunshine, white snow and a vehicle that isn't a 1999 grand am?

i think not.

you are freakishly happy today...it's kinda scary.

I appreciate it.

I will try to find that place, perhaps with a hershey bar dipped in peanut butter.

I have the authority to say this because;

I spent 35 minutes packing up the babies with their frozen tears on their faces in a van that somehow still started even though when I went out to turn the key on I noticed the side door open from last night and then hurried down to the school only to run into Carey who was ecstatically vibrant about 9 degree weather.

It caught me totally off guard.

sorry rani, it's just hard for me to be inside for so many days. knowing that my skin won't fall off if i walk outside really made my day.

You remind me of when we lived in Alaska and we had 40 below wind factor. When it finally let up it was a warm balmy 2 degrees and I totally remember thinking "Wow, it's not that cold out!"

HAPPY, HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Yikes. We were at 11 yesterday (0 with the wind chill), and I was fairly pissy about the whole deal. I think I've been fairly pissy a lot lately, and if someone (especially someone I'm related to) came across me in an ecstatic mood, they would fall over in shock, or run in fear.

Not good.
