so the hound started obedience classes last night.
i gave her a D+.
big j gave her a solid C.
she was the class clown, the loud and crazy kid that's fun to watch but no one really wants to sit by. she was SO excited to be around all those dogs. all she wanted to do was play with the boxer and the pit bull and the other naughty labrador. seems she likes to hang out with the bad boy crowd. although she did try to make friends with a weaner dog and a sweet little corgi. they wanted nothing to do with her.
i do think she's going to settle down after a few sessions. big j is going to work with a doberman that's kind of the mentor dog of the class until she does. right now, crosby walks all over him because he's just way too soft with her.
yeah. she looks all cute and innocent up there in that photo. he he. stay tuned for the updates. i just hope she doesn't hack up a sock in the middle of class.

you DO kinda look like her, what with the blonde hair, brown eyes and innocent (but not) expression.

And the nose? Please tell me we don't share the nose.

Crosby? Naughty? no way! She looks way too innocent! I sure hope she makes friends with those dogs. I bet it's a riot to watch the class!!

oh dear. I remember I took those classes when I was younger with my Brittany spaniel. It was tough. Good luck.

She is exactly like Rooby. Rooby graduated, barely, last in her class because of all the clowning. All she cared about is playing with the dogs! It was both hilarious & embarrassing. Do they have a playtime before the class starts? In a perfect world, it would be great to take Crosby to a dog park & get most of the play out of her before you start the class. They did this at my class, but she needed a longer time to play. Good luck!
