i was just telling bobbi about the woes of getting myself into things that SEEM simple and turn into these major dilemmas. i do it ALL the time. for instance, we make little gifts for all the visiting hockey players whenever we host a tournament. little j has about 4 things around his neck at the moment, and one of them is a braided necklace made from three different hockey laces. i showed it to the group and we decided we could easily make them.
he he.
we have not even started making them yet. in fact, i have not even gathered the laces yet and this project is causing me cranial pain. it all seemed so simple...order some skate laces, make the necklaces. i told the moms i would be in charge of gathering laces.
he he again.
here is what i ran into yesterday:
We have 159 skaters, and each skater gets a phiten that combines 3 colors of 20-inch pieces of skate laces . We can buy laces that are 120 inches long. So, I am thinking each lace can help build 6 necklaces, and each pair can help build 12.
Luverne has 12 kids
SF has 25
Rushmore has 30
Yankton has 23
Pierre has 25
Marlins have 44
Luverne is Red, White and Black
Sioux Falls is Orange, White and Blue
Rushmore is Yellow, Black and White
Yankton is Red, White and Black
Pierre is Green, White and Black
Marlins is Black, Blue and White
The question: how many of each PAIR of colors do we need to buy?
i think i finally got my answer, after some serious brain damage and flashbacks to that darn statistics class my closest friends know so much about...ahem. anyway, it hurt. and it's only the beginning. tomorrow i must try to find laces in all those colors. next week we have to braid them all together and hot glue them into clasps.
i think i feel an all-nighter coming on.

Can't. Stop. Laughing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Partially because of your dilemma, but mostly because I knew from the third word that this was all coming down to that statistics class.
If nothing else, that class has provided us with DECADES of amusement, buddy. For that, I thank you.
I am thanking GOD that I'm too far away to be drafted for this project. Bobbi, on the other hand...
