so on sunday i decided to go into sioux falls to find some desperately needed jeans. i was determined to go it alone, a woman on a mission. i literally had to fight the steering wheel to turn into the dreaded mall. i really just wanted to go to scheels, but decided that enough fleece is enough (or is it?) besides, i needed jeans. and i was determined to purchase them in a store that didn't also sell kayaks.
so. first stop was the gap, which is usually my go-to store for jeans. they make 'em tall. but apparently, they also make them at buttcrack level.
onto the next store.
and the next.
you know, i've never really had trouble buying jeans until this stupid low rider trend came along.
and the next.
and the next.
i hate this mall and i hate jeans and i am going to just wear nothing but sweats forever more.
and the next.
and i am so outa there.
i came home jeanless but happy to jump into my faithful under armour sweats.
fast-forward to tonite. i had to go into SF for a few things, and decided to make my mandatory stop at (AH!) scheels. and there they were. totally folded up in my size, super dooper cute and covering up every inch of my buttcrack. the jeans. at scheels. purchased in less than 10 minutes.
i will never ever stray again.

I'm laughing out loud...and curious. What brand are your buttcrack-less jeans?

Oooooh, I used to have some Silvers, back in the post-E, too skinny days. Man, I miss those (the jeans and the skinny, not the days).
I need one more week of hardcore workouts before I'm ready to try on jeans.

i think you should re-read my post about expectations being shaped by what you believe :)

To be honest I am slightly scared of scheels. I know its dumb but every time I am there I feel like people are looking at me thinking...what is the fat girl doing here? This is a store of athletic people. I really need a new pair of tennis shoes, ones that don't slip on the heal but I am scared ;0

kristilou, you are afraid of scheels like i am afraid of fabric stores! it's ok, but really, you need to embrace scheels. there is a whole section of killer shoes and another one of fuzzy jammies...does that help?

Oh yes, the jeans hunt-know it well, didn't think it was that hard for you tall skinny people:)
finding butt-crackless jeans is the biggest challenge of the decade for those of us over 12!

Aw man, I'm jealous you live so close to Scheels. That store rocks. I can wander around there for hours...and spend lots of money while I'm at it.
Hope you like the jeans, they sound pretty cool.

I have embraced buttcrack jeans...I just now buy long shirts and sweaters!!!!

I bought a pair of Silvers just recently, and I think these are my forever jean brand! Seriously! Not only do I fight the butt crack thing, but the also the gap in the back. These are perfect! Good for you! I bought mine at the buckle.....a 15 year old helped me.
