i don't know if this is just happening here, or if little toads are taking over the world.
they are everywhere. the other day, the boys captured 28 toads in about 10 minutes and there were still dozens of them hopping around. they spent the day having toad races. the grand champion got to live in our pond, but all the others were set free. if you have never seen 27 toads hopping away together, it's something to put on your bucket list. he he.
at any rate, if any of you think you have a really fast toad, bring it on. we've got the grand champion all primed for a race. we might even have to put some money on it.

COOL!
Denny C. was just telling me about how much fun his grandkids had at turtle races and how we should do that at SpudFest. I wondered how we could find a lot of turtles. BUT, maybe now, with the J boys finding all these frogs we could have FROG RACES!!!!! Can you have 'em here alive and kicking on the 21st of AUGUST?
HeHeHe so much for not being involved in planning this year, huh?

Tell you what, if we have access to all these toads a month from now, it can be part of the kids carnival. A surprise entry. We'll bring over a dozen of them.
You might want to go wander around your yard. I can't believe that these toads are ONLY infesting Mitchell?

I want some toads!!
That sounds like fun, and I'm sure no toads were harmed in the writing of this post, Bob!

The lake frog we caught may not as fast as those Mitchell toads, but he was pretty sneaky getting out of the container the boys had him in. Uh-oh Bobbi-if you only knew the numerous things we catch in ways that are not PETA approved.

Saw a toad (or a frog) on the road today and thought of your boys. :-)
Have you had a tetanus shot yet?

ok, seriously. i am not kidding. yesterday i bet i saw 1000 little toads. huge piles of them hopping down the street, i bet there were 100 just in our driveway. it's kind of creepy. i go on a bike ride and it's literally like playing frogger.

I had to laugh at this one, the imagery! Carey, does it have anything to do with the lake you now live by? Just curious.
