sad news about the Can Man.

the husband urged me to talk to our good friend on the highway patrol before even thinking about getting to know the Can Man. he figured our friend would know about a guy who rides his bike all over town looking like he just crawled out of the woods.

so i asked.

apparently the Can Man has been arrested for aggravated assault and he has a shady past. our friend also said "he's mean."

i figured he had a shady past. why else would you decide to ride around on your bike collecting cans and avoiding people? i don't want to believe the Can Man is mean, though. not really.

i still stand by my gut feeling that something bad made him this way, and he just needs a few people to care about him. perhaps i am naive. ok, i am naive. but it's Christmas time.

even if he is mean, and has a rap sheet seven pages long...all the more reason to bring him some cookies or something. right?

doh.

maybe you should come with me. :)

it is funny how once you have a 'rap' sheet, even if you have never broken the law, it just colors your life no matter what you do next. this makes me so thankful for Jesus, who doesn't hold our rap sheet against us.

i am glad you asked. i'm glad you will have caution. i am glad you still think cookies are something we all are worthy of, no matter what :)

oh. and i love you.

Yeeeaaah, what she said. :-)

I encouraged you to invite him over, but now I'm TRIPLE COONDOG DARE-ing you to bake him the cookies.

I just asked Jesus to send an angel or two with you for delivery.
