we had a little problem here this morning. big j has been wearing shorts since may. he has about a billion pairs of size 12 track pants, so i didn't buy him any for school. this morning is cold, so we pulled out a pair of black ones for "black and gold" day at achool. too short. too tight. too nerdy. he looked like steve urkel. we tried another pair. and another. we tried some jeans. couldn't even get them buttoned. basically, the kid does not have a single pair of pants that fit right now.

he was just wearing 12's like...yesterday.

he went off to school wearing MY black sweat pants. they were a little long, but not THAT long.

i think we are growing a giant.

better a giant than an urkel. i guess i'll be doing some shopping this weekend. good thing there is a little brother who will wear all these barely worn size 12's someday. Someday probably a lot sooner than I would like.

i wish they would just STOP with the growing up already!
