six days til Christmas. how are you all doing?

all i know is that yesterday i went biking without a coat. my kids jumped on the trampoline without socks. and we haven't had ONE DROP of snow yet this year. none in the forecast either. sigh. i kind of wanted a white Christmas. just seems weird.

we got through making 164 phitens last week with just a few burned fingers. lots of people pitched in and we actually finished them at 8 pm the night before the hockey tournament...i really was set for a late night. just shows you what lots of hands can do. they turned out to be a huge hit so it was worth it. now little j has four things around his neck and can barely move his head. ha.

so. Christmas. i hope you all are avoiding the spend spend spend stress stress stress. bake cookies for the neighbor instead. i need to take my own advice but really. i feel like this week needs to be about getting real with the true meaning of Christmas and acting a little more like Christ. i have some thoughts and plans for this. i hope you do too.
