tonite while playing a game of Uno with my sons, my oldest dealt me a second "wild" card and says, "holy crap mom. you got two wilds!"

i was shocked. where is he learning this language? darn school. darn bus ride. i bet it was that naughty kid in his class...

so i say "we do NOT say that. ever. where did you hear that?"

he looks at me sheepishly, but remains silent.

"we don't say it, buddy. not in this house."

he looks down, "but you did, mom."

i'm appalled. i would never say a word like crap in front of my kids! we don't even say shut-up or stupid.

"you did, mom" he continues on, "you said 'holy crap, you just missed the bus.'"

oh.

twelve HOURS ago, i probably did say it as the yellow bus was rolling past our windows.

i guess those little ears have a pretty good memory.

crap.

I can totally relate. I have had a few oops while driving. I realized it when JG told a slow driver in the left lane, "Move, da**it."

It has happened to all of us. Thanks for the laugh.

Did you find those duvet disks?
