the light bulb clicked on for little j this weekend. he has been sounding out words and making rhymes, and his pediatrician did this little test on him and told us he is on the verge of reading. we went to the book store and got him this little set of "learn to read" books she recommended. and yesterday, you could just see it click. it was so fun. he started reading these little stories and sounding out words, and his eyes just lit up as it all came together. he could not wait for the husband to come home so he could "read" to him. he woke up this morning wanting to read. he tried reading the bible passages at church. he's reading the ingredients on the cereal boxes. it's still s.l.o.w. but it sure is cute. and little j could not be prouder.

That's so awesome that he's trying to read and wants to read! He can benefit so much by wanting to read at an early age.

You go little J!

I remember when the light went on for Bubba (TM kind of had to be drug into reading, kicking and screaming). It's just coolest thing ever, isn't it?

C.O.O.L. Gavin wants to read so badly. Maleah is trying to teach him every night. It is so cute. I wish I had a video camera to record 'school'. They are making some great memories.

That's so cool!!! I also love it when they learn to write those words and how they spell them. Emerson loves to write her own little books. They're keepers for sure!

Now you can add books to the xmas list...
