day three of summer vacation. so far we have golfed nine holes, fished, played tennis, rode bikes, had baseball practice three times, lost one soccer game, built half a giant retaining wall in the blazing sun, enjoyed some margaritas, signed up for tennis lessons (me) and lost DS privileges (joyful smile).
through all this chaos i have not had nearly enough time to get my work done. i got up at 5:45 this morning in an attempt to catch up. i feel a little better now, but i realize summer just might get me fired :)
i also realized that the boys need to be OUTSIDE doing something that will entertain them for long periods of time. something that doesn't involve bb guns, drowning in the lake or beating each other up.
i think i may have made a mistake. i'm not sure.
but there is a trampoline in the back of my car just waiting to be put together. the j boys are ecstatic.
doh. i should have thought before i bought.

Good luck.
The pool opens Monday here. I am looking forward to it for the first time in years...

Did you buy the walls to go with it?
Has Jamie contacted your insurance agent?

That trampoline is the best investment you have ever made. It is worth more than your whole entire new house. I promise.
Just make sure you pray every time they get on it. And make a rule that you have to get verbal approval from parents before anyone else gets on it (my doc told me trampoline suing horror stories). And don't freak out when someone bites through their lip (or tongue) and you have to run to the emergency room. Mouth injuries bleed a lot, it's no big deal.
And did I mention praying?

he he
no worries about dead kids, blood or mad neighbors yet. i watched the video on how to put this thing together yesterday and let's just say it's still in the back of my truck.
it did come with the net walls but they are so ugly. we jumped without 'em when i was a kid and i'm alive...i kinda miss the good ol' days where people didn't put their trampolines in cages :)
7:35 AM
You've gotta have the cage, buddy. Not just for safety, but also because the games your kids can invent within the confines of that cage will grant you hours and hours of peace and quiet. Trust me on this one, the cage increases trampoline creativity exponentially.

Yep, go with Karen, gotta have the cage. Watch some youtube trampoline videos that will make an impact:)
