sorry it took you so long to tell you about our newest family member. his names is gunner and he's a mini weiner dog, the long-haired version. we fell in love with him and grandma kathy and thought he looked like a great Christmas present for the boys. 

so far he is a pretty good boy but he is definitely going to have a mind of his own. everything i have read about dachsunds tells me they are stubborn. they were bred to kill badgers and the tenacity and stubborness helps them survive. i am hoping his labrador sisters will teach him a thing or two about pleasing others and doing whatever they say. ha. 

for those of you keeping count, we now have three dogs and two cats. we are nuts. sidney dog and old zoe cat would agree with you. 

come meet gunner in person. just don't bring your pet badger. he might kill it. :)
