woke up to our first snow this morning and here are a few things i am thinking about:

*winter coats, hats and boots are apparently not necessary in middle school (i remember trying to convince my mom of this very same thing). i didn't want to be the bad mom sending my kid off to school in a sweatshirt, so i made big j wear the ski coat. i noticed about 20 kids entering the building in tee shirts as i dropped him off this morning. sigh. 

*weiner dogs do not like snow. 

*weiner dogs also do not like rain, wind, cold, dew, ice or loud noises.

*weiner dogs might actually be cats. 

*it is much easier to write about holiday promotions for my job when there is snow on the ground. 

*i am itching to put on the skis.

*something about snow makes me want to cook a real meal. i am hoping this feeling goes away by five. 

*snow always makes me think about hobos and how much it would suck to be one. let's all say a prayer for the hobos, ok?

*pretty sure we don't have a pair of matching gloves in the house. 

*no matter where i hide it, the husband always finds the old green coat i bought him when we were dating 18 years ago. yes, you all know the one. he found it about 9:30 this morning and hasn't taken it off since. 

*it has nothing to do with him being sentimental. it has everything to do with him being part hobo. 

*another prayer for the hobos, please. 

*i am wondering about putting up Christmas lights on the next warm day. where did i put them all? do they still work? can i convince the j boys to do it?

*and about Christmas. what in the world am i going to get bobbi this year? it is always hard to top the stuffed lion, the live baby lizard or the cupcake hole maker. 

*snow also makes me procrastinate. back to work, i go.
