so. the guilt part. he has spent the past five nights until midnight, or well past it, flooding the big hole in the ground. fortunately, a buddy was kind enough to join him for two of the nights. the boys and i joined him on friday and saturday, when it was about six degrees out. at night. with water. but i digress.
at any rate, all the hard work has paid off. the rink is looking really nice today. the boys just spent the past two hours playing hockey on it. the community leadership program donated some money to buy used ice skates, and i found 18 pairs for $5 each at goodwill today. now kids of all ages can give it a whirl. another nice perk of living in a small town....they just check the skates out at the general store, and bring them back when they are done. if you're not doing anything this winter, head to montrose for some time on the ice. happy skating :)

Dude. I think he deserves a little WTGFI for his efforts, don't you? That always helps with the guilt, too. :-)

Very cool! Where was it built? I bet he feels good contributing to his community something he loves. And good for you, giving him that loving nudge.
