hmm. somehow the photos posted without the comments. but of course, i have to comment :)

so the rocking is rocking. seriously. it's so fun. i know that deep down i am a blue collar girl. dressing up for board meetings is like wearing a costume. today while the husband and i were rocking the house, the workmen were inside putting primer on the walls. they were playing great music and singing in there, and the sun was shining and my brain was so happy not to be sitting at a computer. i kept thinking of my brother who gets to build and remodel and crane every day, and how it just fits him and how much i love him.

anyway, i'm sure it's not that fun for the people who call it a job, but it was sure a nice day for me. i can see how beautiful this is going to be and it makes me so happy. the husband and i did not have one argument or altercation. it was just so nice to be out there working on something together, something that will feel so much like ours because we had a hand in creating it.

i'm happy. and tired. and ready to devour the homemade chicken noodle soup.

i'll report again on sunday night, hopefully with finished pics.
