i seriously think i left my brain in montana. i have been trying to write a radio campaign since yesterday...and i find myself staring out the window, or looking longingly at the couch, where i would love to curl up and take a nap.
is 39 too young to start thinking about retirement? :)
actually, i found my retirement dream on vacation. there were some very happy, suntanned, twinkly eyed seniors skiing up on that mountain. they wore red lodge coats that said "host" on the back. i talked to one of them, and he said it's a volunteer gig but they get a ski pass and their job is to just make sure people are having a good time. yeah. i could do that. i see myself as a mountain host in the winter and some kind of outdoorsy guide in the summer. i could still write--maybe something a little more meaningful. maybe i'll get a little part-time gig walking dogs or mowing lawns, something that doesn't require my brain at all but includes exercise and sunshine.
the husband can retire with me and be a fly-fishing guide and fellow mountain host. oh, and we will have kayaks. and all my friends and family can visit us on our mountain. i will have a guest room with fresh flowers that bobbi has grown in her garden next door...
:)

I bet if you went back to your first week's posting after the last Montana trip, it would be very similar. You, my friend, are still on vacation.
I WILL come visit, but only if you do the same. I think it's your turn.
