october 6 was my last post. really? wow. where the heck do the days go? i will just give you a random recap here...
*hunting season is in full swing. crosby dog has gone from Simple Dog to Super Dog. her first big day out and she brought in almost all 12 birds shot by the hunting group the husband went out with. the husband was a proud papa. apparently, crosby is the fastest hunting dog on the planet. not to be outdone, our nearly 13-year-old 3-legger has also been hunting and bringing in birds. she has been Super Dog for years, but we didn't know if she would even be able to run the fields. the husband said she is like a puppy again. the more she gets out there and runs, the stronger she gets and she is keeping up with all the younger 4-leggers just fine. almost makes me want to break out my "exercise keeps you young" soapbox.
*the grandmas were here for 6 days and we had so much fun. i hope they enjoyed their trip here as much as we did, despite having to share bunk beds the whole time. my house has never looked so sparkly. i did have to stop at grandma wanting to iron my jeans...he he. i think i am glad i was never part of the "iron all your clothes" generation. grandma asked me where you put the water in our iron and i honestly had no idea. then she asked me what i do if a pair of my jeans come out all wrinkly, and i told her i throw them back in the dryer. i don't think she was impressed.
*my mom likes to drink wine. i told her she could not leave until she drank it all. um..mom. i found another bottle of shiraz in the wine rack. you better book a flight.
*the j boys are back at hockey. i guess we all are. the husband is coaching and i'm involved in the new rink rat program--a learn-to-skate program for non-hockey players in the month of november. i'll be helping little people and trying to turn them into hockey players. i figure the more kids that go out for hockey, the less expensive our fees will be. he he. always an angle, right?
*looks like our lawn needs mowed again. boy i love to say that. :)
*while mom and grandma were here, we went to scheels. of course. i am not sure how it happened, but i ended up with TWO pairs of cool new boots and a pair of new shoes. apparently, i am going to have really great looking feet this winter but the rest of me is going to be wearing old ratty sweatpants.
*is 9:30 too early for a mt. dew?
*we are shooting a big video next week...outdoors. please do your best to think sunny thoughts. and if one more person tells me how often they see snow on halloween...grrr.
*i'll sign off by saying happy report card day! :)

Mostly I don't even bother to throw them back in the dryer. Mostly I don't even bother to put jeans on, because yoga pants are more comfy.
I would really, really like to have a sparkly house. And a bottle of Shiraz. And a picture of your lawn.
