ok, bookworms. get out your kindles and hit the buy button.

first book is one that i actually have in book form. i bought it for the husband for Christmas and we read it outloud as a family when we're on the road, or sometimes just at night. it's called "Unbroken." True story about a young Olympic track sensation who was drafted into the Army in 1940 to fight in WWII. His plane was shot down and he had to survive for weeks on shark-infested waters, living out of a deflating life boat. i am not actually to that part yet, but so far the book is rich with fascinating history. love it.

the second is "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close." The book is so smartly written i am wondering if the movie will do it justice.

both books make me want to write a book. they also make me realize the best stories are true ones, and so far, my life just doesn't have a kick-ass story line. since most stories involve drama and tragedy, i guess that's good :)

so there you have it. happy reading, friends.

karen you once did not have blog envy either. :)

did you know you can swap ebooks with friends on a kindle and it doesn't require the post office and happens instantly? you also don't need 300 bookshelves in your house to dust :)

we will see how long you hold out.

bob, i truly just love the way the book is written so far, i'll report more when i finish!
