i have determined that this is the year i do things instead of NOT doing things. i do have this tendency to want to stay home and be a hermit. i will try to force myself out the door when all i really want to do is chill out on my back deck.

so...first thing.

we just got back from montana. apparently we are going back again on friday for a special "off season" hockey tournament that i said NO to when it first came up. it's going to be a crazy short weekend, with a 9 hour drive on friday, three games on saturday (including one that starts at 7 am) and a 9 hour drive home on sunday. the other side of the coin is that i will be spending time with a fun group of friends, my kids will get to play hockey against kids they've never met before and we'll probably have some stories to tell when we get home.

next thing.

i signed up for the warrior dash in minnesota this july. it's a 5K race complete with climbing ropes, mud bogs, barbed wire fences, fire jumping, water obstacles and promises of turkey legs and beer at the finish line. i have to do it just to say i did it. who's in?

final thing.

i may get a tattoo. don't tell the husband. or my mom. oh. hi, mom....
