ok. hi.

this will be quick. and random. hold on tight.

*i got a shiny new client yesterday, a really good one led by a marketing team of friends from the past. can't wait to dig in and get started. but first i must dig out of the giant pile i already have going. 2013 is proving quite busy so far, where is that cloning machine again?

*little j and i are leaving for california in a little over a week. we are going to visit my uncle randy, and take a stop at the beach and maybe visit shamu. but mostly, we are going to visit randy. his cancer is the biggest, baddest bully of all and he has decided to stop the evil chemo and just enjoy the sunshine. we are going to go do that with him. the husband and big j have too much going on and can't join us on this trip. hopefully another time. and that statement carries more hope than you'll ever know.

*hockey is in full february mode, with games for both boys every weekend. this weekend i believe i will watch 7 games for my boys alone. i can feel my bleacher butt already.

*next weekend big j and i will travel to rapid city for the state tournament. (not sure of the schedule yet cher  but i do want to see if you are around!! looks like we'll be out either thursday night or friday morning with games for sure on friday and probably saturday...are you in town?) any way, the team is sitting about in the middle but they tied the number one team in our bracket last weekend so who knows?

*conferences tonite for big j. he rocked his report card last quarter and seems pretty happy. i am sure i will hear about his tendency to look out the window during class and how unorganized his is and how messy his handwriting is...but i will just remind myself that he is a kind soul and that's what really matters. right? :)

*the wiener dog continues his naughty ways. this morning, for example, i could not find him anywhere. then i opened the dishwasher to put breakfast bowls inside and he was folded up inside the door. apparently he jumped in the dishwasher while i was putting dishes away and i shut the door at some point earlier in the morning. good grief.

*the husband has been around here somewhere, we pass each other from time to time. ha. sunday, we got to ride back from a hockey tournament in the same car. that was a bonus. we listened to the lights go out at the superbowl on the radio.

*speaking of superbowl. the commercials. how could you NOT love the budweiser clydesdale? but he hands down best spot was for dodge. that speech from Paul Harvey about farmers was so perfectly written, so beautifully spoken and so 100% awesome. those are the kinds of words that make lame-o writers like me insanely jealous.

*i am suffering from the winter uglies. you know, when your skin is pasty white and dry and your hair is full of static and your clothes all suck. oh, you don't know? crap. :)

*ok. this was a dumb post. time to move along. happy day.
