this is the story of the three-legged cat. last week, she came wandering up the driveway, waltzed into the garage and cozied up on the dog bed. then she turned over for a belly rub.

she looked skinny, but i didn't realize how skinny until i picked her up. she's a pathetic bag of bones. so...i decided to feed her.

and then the boys named her starley.
and then we gave her a bath.

and now it seems we might have acquired a three-legged cat.

that's her story so far.

we'll see where it goes from here.

hey, yeah, kim! glad to hear from you. she does kinda look like your cat, accept she's practically starved. i'm not really sure she's going to make it, she's pretty weak. she's super sweet, nothing scares her and she really likes to be hauled around by the boys. i gave her the bath and she just layed there purring.

i took her to the vet and they said she was extremely dehydrated. they pumped fluid directly under her skin and gave me a bunch of science diet kitten food to feed her. she looks better already.

the nice part is, tbose busy vets stopped everything when i brought her in and did this all for free...another bonus of life in little ol' montrose. :)

You bunch of animal lovers, you...

The other day, someone with a number I don't recognize called me and said, "Rani, is your dog missing?" and I looked outside and saw Shiloh and said, "Nope!" then the called, (who never introduced herself so I still don't know who it was, said, "Oh,I saw an English Springer and thought of Sadie"

Our English Springer, Sadie, has been gone for awhile now...and I felt that big ball of emotion in my throat as I hung up the phone.

But, I am not a cat person. For some reason they like me, though. Grandma's orange tabby named Sunny won't leave me alone when I visit...

So glad there are cat people to take care of God's creation that needs help.
