so the big camping weekend is upon us. as you can see, the weather isn't exactly cooperating. the boys slept outside with the husband on wednesday night and made it through until morning, but last night the monsoon rains came along with the hurricane winds and the camping adventure was moved indoors.
hey, at least there are no bugs.
sigh.

My kiddos and Ryan tried to stay out in the pop-up last night, too (which is only a glorified tent). They made it until 12:17 a.m. The wind was really strong. M said,"mom, it was too bumpy to sleep out there" So my living room floor is covered with sleeping bags... what an icky weekend.

That is just too cute. nothing like camping in the basement. you're right, no bugs and at least they stayed dry! Maybe next weekend will be better for outside camping!

we started out camping also but our friends who were going with us picked up griff from school and got half way there, got sick and had to turn around so we spent one rainy night then returned home to retrieve our kiddo from the friends and now we are just hanging out watching it rain for the first weekend of summer. It sounds like everyone else is doing the same.

We have given up on camping on Memorial Day weekend for that exact reason-weather never cooperates. Looks fun though, a tent is fun no matter where it is.
