so the fancy new blogger thing allows me to see how many people are looking at this silly blog every day. the old one probably did too, but i never looked. i saw that 12 people checked in here this morning...really? i don't even know 12 people. but once i saw that, i felt kind of guilty since i haven't written anything new in forever. life is just flying by here, as i'm sure it is for everyone. i'll give a few random highlights to keep the 12 of you in the loop. maybe it isn't 12. maybe bobbi is just checking 12 times? anywhoo... *little j. he is busy with soccer and baseball, often on the same night, back-to-back. last night in the 90 degree temps, his face was the color of his red shirt. he takes after me that way, lucky kid. he also took his first communion on sunday and was all decked out in a shirt and tie*. he was nervous about the whole ceremony, but also took it very seriously. he knows that his first communion symbolizes accepting Jesus and rejecting Satan, and he was set to do it. we had a BBQ here for the whole family and it was a fun, beautiful day. *pictures to come. *big j. we attended his first band performance and they were GREAT! i was surprised to hear how good a pile of 5th graders can play. he plays trombone and was pretty excited. the trombones got to stand up for a solo during a rock medley featuring "we will rock you" and "another one bites the dust." he was rocking out up there, puffy cheeks and all*. big j has been practicing his golf swing and his tennis serve, but neither one starts until school gets out. *pictures to come *the husband. the cute boy i married is busy trying to build a deck and boardwalk out back, between coaching the summer hockey team and little j's baseball team. we're both hoping this summer is packed with more play and less yard building. those kayaks have been calling our name. *me. still coaching girls on the run...our 5K is next saturday. also still going to bootcamp class three nights a week so i can make it through the warrior dash in june. i joined the women's tennis league on tuesday nights again, hoping i can keep up with big j and maybe give the husband a run for his money this summer. otherwise, can't wait to plant all my flowers and trees and bushes...spring fever is an understatement. i could live outside. *the pets. old sidney dog is still with us, plugging along on three legs and happy just to be here. she seems perky and still loves fetching her ball. crosby lost her collar and has been running around naked since sunday. she's a good hound. the cats are fine, pounce is still paws down the best cat on the planet and zoe could take us or leave us. there you go. that's a recap. happy day to all 12 of you...or all 3 of you repeating yourselves 4 times...:)
