sigh. not sure why these photos loaded in reverse but anyway. you get the picture. i'm going back in time here with the whole mutton busting thing. little j was pretty excited and so was the husband, who was a fake cowboy for two nights of rodeo. ha. anyway, here are some hat poses and little j on the mutton, who busted him off in about 3 seconds.

he did not win the big trophy, but you can see his little trophy (they must not make them with cowboys riding sheep). he's posing with his grandma greta, who had a whole houseful of cowboys that weekend. we had a lot of fun.
i am getting ready to head out to the black hills to ride the mickelson trail with my good friend sara and my sister-in-law nikki. it's 109 miles of forest trails, and should be beautiful. the weather lately has been gorgeous. let's hope it holds. let's also hope my new padded bike shorts work their magic on my butt.
