remember how little j wanted a homemade halloween costume this year? and remember how i slyly talked him into being a ghost, because it's about the easiest costume in the world to make?
he he.
we had a school function on monday night that involved halloween costumes. as you can see, little j WASN'T a ghost. this is due to the fact that his mother is about as handy as a mitten. i somehow sliced my finger cutting the eyeholes and got blood all over the white sheet. while little j thought having real human blood on his costume was cool, i decided other mothers might look at me funny. not that they don't already.
to make a long story short, we scoured the house for anything that could possibly be construed as a costume and came up with....drum roll...michael phelps. the orange cap wearing, pasty white, froggy swim trunk version.
and next to him is his side-kick, hines ward the pittsburgh steeler. how does that happen in a house full of bronco fans? dang kids.

I could just eat them up, buddy. They look awesome. Happy as clams and awesome. E will love big J's costume.
So how do you pull of a half-naked Michael Phelps in South Dakota on Halloween night?

yeah, we may have to improvise come Halloween night. By then my wound may have healed and I can attempt to cut a sheet again...

Little J is hilarious! Here's a funny thing...G's costume was not completed by this past Sunday when he needed to wear it for Base trick or treating so we also had to improvise...he ended up being a Denver bronco for the day...helmet, jersey, pants...we had all of it!
